For the first time in 57 years, Hyderabad has been chosen to host the final rounds of the 78th National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy, marking a historic moment in Indian football. As announced by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, the tournament will kick off from 5th December 2024 in Hyderabad. This prestigious event will bring together top state teams from across the country, showcasing the spirit of Indian football and promoting grassroots talent.
Hosting the Santosh Trophy after nearly six decades underlines Hyderabad's growing significance in the national sports landscape and reinforces the city's commitment to nurturing sporting excellence. The tournament is expected to attract widespread attention, boost local enthusiasm for football, and provide a platform for emerging players to shine on a national stage.
The Sports Authority of Telangana launched a login-free Online Registration Web Application for Summer Camp 2025, enabling efficient, paperless participant registration across all 33 districts and 641+ centers. This initiative supports real-time payment processing with auto-generated digital receipts, reducing manual intervention.
The system ensures batch-wise and center-wise enrollment management, auto-validates categories (General, Govt School, Para, Urban Free), and prevents over-enrollment through capacity checks. It supports 30 Khelo India centers, 3 Para disciplines, and 132 Urban Free Centers.
