SPORTS INSTITUTIONS
Sports Authority of Telangana has established Sports Institutions in the State duly providing free boarding & lodging facilities, scientific coaching with highly qualified eminent coaches and hygienic diet and exposure trips for tournaments as well as the education to the children.
VISION
The vision of the SATG is to use the Sports as a tool to transform the society and achieve more medals in the National and International Championship. Games and sports are essential for development of human resources and play an important role in protecting the image of the country at international level.
AIM
SATG as aimed, identifies talented sports persons and provides them best facilities and systematic training so as to enable the players to attain peak performance in National & International arena and at the same time to improve individual health and well being and contribute to socio economic outcomes.
The Sports Authority of Telangana (SATG) is running the following Eight (8) Sports Institutions in the State i.e., 3 Sports Schools (Telangana Sports School at Hakimpet, Adilabad, & Regional Sports School at Karimnagar, (1) Regional Sports Hostel, Hanamkonda, (4) Sports Academies i.e., Cycling and Wrestling Academy at Cycling Velodrome, O.U. Campus, Hyderabad, Volleyball Academy at Saroornagar, Ranga Reddy District, Athletics Academy at Khammam District & Hockey Academy at Wanaparthy District.
Allotment of lanes and other facilities in the Shooting Range at SATG Shooting range and UOH, campus Gachibowli
The SATG has allotted 20 lanes in 10 Meters, 25 lanes in 25 meters and 20 lanes in 50 meters along with Shooting Range (25 & 50 meters half of electronic and half of manual lanes) to Gagan Narang Sports Promotion Foundation (GNSPF) authorities for a period of 05 years w.e.f. 01.11.2019 on certain terms and conditions (MOU) for the development of Shooting Sport in Telangana.
